Moneta Group subscribes to Modern Portfolio Theory, which suggests that maximizing returns and minimizing volatility requires diversifying your investments across multiple asset classes – especially asset classes that are not highly correlated.
Your Moneta Family CFO will help you construct unique asset allocation strategies specifically tailored for your various portfolios. Each strategy will consider your time horizon and level of risk tolerance. As time and circumstance dictate, Moneta will review your asset allocations and recommend appropriate changes. Where changes in strategy are not required, Moneta will provide the rebalance discipline necessary to help you capitalize on the inherent volatility of the financial markets.
Moneta’s approach to selecting investments is different from traditional financial services providers where advice is often motivated by commissions and revenue-sharing rather than by purely objective criteria. We believe that to best serve you as your unbiased Family CFO it’s important that we accept no commissions, “back door payments” or other “perks” from the investments we recommend.
Instead, an experienced investment department, led by a highly-trained chartered financial analyst (CFA), follows a disciplined, objective process to identify and select those investments and investment managers best suited to your portfolios. The process includes significant quantitative analysis, but no decisions are made without extensive qualitative evaluation – including personal interviews and visits with potential investment managers.
Recommendations of the Investment Department are then reviewed and debated by Moneta’s Investment Selection Committee prior to final approval. This committee includes investment experts from inside Moneta, as well as three outside investment professionals. In total, six CFAs are involved in Moneta’s investment selection and monitoring process.
Having a dedicated Investment Department frees up your Moneta Family CFO to focus his or her efforts on your specific portfolio, as well as the other equally important aspects of your financial life. |
