As Chief Investment Strategist, Bill Hornbarger takes seriously his commitment to provide the best possible investment guidance to Moneta principals and their clients. Bill brings the benefit of 23 years of industry experience in investments, trading, portfolio modeling, securities research, financial analysis and service to Moneta Group's Investment Department.
Bill joined the Moneta team in 2009, after 20 years with A.G. Edwards (later Wachovia Securities). During his tenure there, he acquired a depth and breadth of experience, most recently as Chief Fixed Income Strategist. As a member of the firm's investment strategy committee, he was responsible for formulating the firm's cyclical, strategic, and tactical asset allocations. He provided guidance on market implications for various bond sectors and formulated Capital Market Assumptions for fixed income asset classes. In addition, he has worked with clients on custom investment strategies and portfolio.
Every day at Moneta, Bill applies this valuable experience to help provide the firm with clear, balanced and well-researched investment strategy despite the complexity of the overall financial picture. With an obvious passion for what he does, Bill possesses the unique ability to communicate his efforts with both those inside and outside of his industry—an indispensible skill when working with Moneta clients. He holds a B.S., Business Administration and MBA from Saint Louis University. Bill lives in St. Louis County with his wife and three children.
