A native of Australia, Roland came to the United States in 1999 to study on a music scholarship at the University of Missouri, Columbia.  While passionate about music, he couldn't shake his 'internal entrepreneur,' and by his senior year was running a business at night and volunteering between classes with a local stock broker. "I offered to work for him for free in exchange for learning the ropes of the industry," Roland says, "and it gave the credentials to begin my career at Moneta Group in 2003.”  Roland then went on to obtain the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2006.

In 2007, Roland returned to Australia to take care of his ailing mother and, as a byproduct of this sabbatical, was able to obtain the Australian Certified Financial Planner™ designation while working for FMD Financial Sydney and PricewaterhouseCoopers Financial Planning.  In 2009, he returned to the United States and to Moneta Group. "My international experience and dual CFP® certifications give me a unique specialization in expatriate issues for Australians living in the United States as well as U.S. citizens living abroad."

He resides in Webster Groves with his wife (Melissa), son (Jet) and daughter (London).
