Moneta Group Chairman of the Board and Principal Peter Schick believes that understanding clients' goals and objectives is critical to serving as their Family CFO. "You can be assured that I will never lose sight of the fact that my clients and their financial goals are singularly important," he says.
By listening to his clients and proactively advising them on how to meet their goals, Peter hopes to develop long, trusted relationships with the families he serves. "My goal is to maintain long-term relationships with my clients," he says. "I make it my business to keep abreast of changes in the financial services industry and work with my clients to ensure they are never caught unaware. Together, we create financial plans that give them the freedom to enjoy life and pursue their hopes and dreams."
Peter joined Moneta Group after earning his B.S. from University of Missouri – St. Louis in 1974. He began accumulating ownership of the firm in 1983 and completed the acquisition six years later. In 1997, Peter received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Financial Services. As part of a plan to provide continuity to the firm and promote its long-term independence, Peter sold the bulk of his ownership to the other Principals in 2005. Although Moneta Group ownership is now divided among its 31 principals, Peter remains an owner and continues to actively serve his clients.
