For Moneta Group principal Katie Kearins, listening is key to her success in serving clients as a Family CFO. "I listen effectively to understand my clients' desires and priorities," she says. This skill helps her provide the straightforward advice her clients have come to expect from her. "My commitment is to provide honest and understandable advice and to be responsible and accountable to every client I have," she says. "I achieve this by working as their advocate, with integrity and candor."
Prior to joining Moneta Group as a principal in 1997, Katie was the chief investment officer of an investment advisory firm. She also has experience as an accounting analyst in corporate finance. Katie earned her BSBA from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1989 and her MBA from Maryville University in 1996.
In addition to serving as a Family CFO, Katie serves on the Endowment Committee for Kingdom House and for her church. She works on the Annual Fund for her children's school and is currently on the Board of the Moneta Group Charitable Foundation and Moneta Group Real Estate LLC. She has worked with the Gateway Chapter of the National MS Society as a mentor through the Family Resource Center.
When not working, Katie enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Brian, reside in St. Louis and have a son and a daughter.
