Eric W. Mundwiller

Eric Mundwiller's philosophy puts unwavering focus on the people he serves, with an individualized, holistic approach to managing their comprehensive financial, investment, insurance and tax issues. "After 21 years in the financial services industry, I have learned that what matters most to me is helping my clients achieve their goals. I became convinced that the way to do that was to use the knowledge and expertise I developed working in excellent firms and hang out my own shingle. That would allow me to customize my approach and refine my practice in order to work with the people, families and businesses I could best serve."

After working with families and executives from several St. Louis-based Fortune 500 companies as part of the Personal Financial Services Group at Price Waterhouse, in 1993 Eric became a sole practitioner in his own CPA firm, later expanding the range of services as president and owner of InvestTax® Strategies Group. At first, when Moneta CEO Gene Diederich approached Eric about joining the firm, he wasn't enthusiastic. "But as I spent time with some of the principals and began really considering the advantages this relationship would offer my clients, the prospect of becoming a Moneta principal became more compelling."

The decision to join Moneta group freed Eric from the minutia of being a solo practitioner. "Those tasks take a great deal of time and attention. Moneta provides a robust infrastructure, including a highly-credentialed investment department with a depth and breadth of expertise not often found in a 'boutique' firm. Marketing, human resources, office management and accounting services are all provided by a professional staff. Moneta's core values echo my philosophy; we are passionate about what we do, we act only in our clients' best interests and we deliver 'Raving Fan' service. That's what I want to do, what I believe is right and what is very exciting about joining Moneta Group."

Eric holds both a B.S. and a Master of Accountancy with a specialty in Taxation. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and holds a series 65 license. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®). In addition, he is a founding member, director and current treasurer of the St. Louis-Tom Lombardo Chapter of the National Football Foundation, an organization that develops and promotes local scholar-athletes.

Eric and his wife, Lori, are parents of Macy, Elle and Maximus. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending his children's numerous activities and playing golf, aspiring to be able to compete with Lori, who is club champ.
