Working together with his son, David, Moneta Group principal Allan Curtis brings new meaning to Moneta's Family CFO concept.  As one of the few father/son Moneta Group teams, David and Allan not only embody the Family CFO concept, they strongly believe in it.  "As advocates for our clients' financial well being, we constantly evaluate our role and the effect our decisions will have, not only on our first generation clients, but the next generation as well.

"Our first priority is always the financial independence and well-being of that first generation who helped create the family wealth," Allan adds.  "Nonetheless, we also assist the succeeding generation to be responsible financial stewards of that wealth and to better understand the overall family financial unit.  We view this as one of our most important fiduciary responsibilities as Family CFOs."

Allan joined Moneta Group as a principal in 1990.  Prior to that, he had a 14-year career in banking, which culminated in his being named president of a major St. Louis banking institution.  He also served as CFO of a family-owned long-term health care business.  Allan earned his B.A. in Economics from Rollins College in 1968 and his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1973.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Allan's experience and expertise, combined with the talent of his Moneta Group team, make him a significant resource for clients and their families.  "Moneta Group's vast array of professional talent and financial knowledge, coupled with our highly skilled and dedicated office staff, creates the perfect environment to assist clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives," he says.  "We strive to accomplish this by forging a client/advisor relationship imbued with mutual trust, confidentiality and respect."

An active member of the St. Louis community and a life long resident, Allan serves on various civic boards.  He is a member of Focus St. Louis, The Round Table, Bellerive Country Club and Dartmouth Alumni Association.  He is also the past president of the Eagle Scout Association.

Allan enjoys golf, tennis, duplicate bridge, reading economic and political journals and leading and participating in various Bible study groups.  Including David, Allan and his wife, Beth, have three sons and three grandchildren.
